The Wareham Historical Society will present a program at the Methodist Meeting House, 495 Main Street on Monday, October 15, 2018, 7 p.m. by Malcolm Phinney, Captain of the Wareham Minutemen and Militia about the “Pine Tree Wars”.  During the early 18th century, disagreements between the King of England and the colonists concerning the rights of ownership of New England’s white pine trees pushed us closer and closer to war.  Captain Phinney will guide you through the events and politics of this time in history and show you how it influenced our struggle for independence.

Refreshments will be served after the program.  Admission is free to members, non-members $2.00.  For more information, please call Angela M. Dunham, WHS President at 508-295-8578.
