Mr. Clifton Rice will present a brief history of the founding and development of the Old Dartmouth Historical Society and the New Bedford Whaling Museum early in the 20^th Century.

He will talk about the museum’s expansion in the 21^st century and its role as a historical, educational and cultural center for our region.

He will also present the museum’s collections regarding the Yankee Whaling Era and New Bedford’s multi-cultural population in an audio-visual program.

Admission is free for Wareham Historical Society Members, Non-Members-$2.00.

Refreshments will be served after the program.
