Mr. Clifton Rice will present a brief history of the founding and development of the Old Dartmouth Historical Society and the New Bedford Whaling Museum early in the 20th Century.
He will talk about the museum’s expansion in the 21st century and its role as a historical, educational and cultural center for our region.
He will also present the museum’s collections regarding the Yankee Whaling Era and New Bedford’s multi-cultural population in an audio-visual program.
Admission is free for Wareham Historical Society Members, Non-Members-$2.00.
Refreshments will be served after the program.
