The Wareham Historical Society will proudly present a program Monday, January 19, 2026 at 7 p.m. at the Methodist Meeting House, 495 Main St., Wareham, MA celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary and Wareham’s history.
The American Revolution began with the first shots fired on April 19, 1775 at Lexington and Concord, MA. Colonists wanted independence and rebelled over taxation without representation, The Intolerable Acts and tensions between the colonies and the British were at a breaking point.
Come and learn about the brave Wareham, MA residents, who joined in the American Revolution for freedom! There will be a Wareham history Trivia game, costumes will be on display and Wareham history timeline by the Wareham Historical Commission will be available to take home. We look forward to seeing you!
Refreshments will be served after the program.
